If you want a laptop so damn badly go use a coupon at the dell online store and get it with much better deal , and you dont even have to wait for thanksgiving to get it.

The stores are responsible for this though. Bestbuy , target , etc all have "Huge Saving" events going on from opening in 5am to 12 noon only. They might as well build a arena and have people fight to death for the coveted plasma tv. Hmm i think i'll sell this idea to FOX..

Renderman for the technically challenged.

Pixar just released renderman for maya. I bought it a week ago and been playing with it for a bit , its very very very fast when it comes to getting nice motionblurs and DOF effects. And the nice thing about it is its very simple to use. If you are a animator like me who doesnt know crap about rendering but still want to get fast and nice looking renders give it a look.

I have been reading this book recently to learn more about storyboarding in preperation to the short I am working on. It is very nicely written and informative and teaches you not only storyboarding but all about how the movie production works. Highly recommended if you ever plan on doing a short film.
